Carolyn M. Tallman, of Williamsport, passed away into the Lord’s waiting arms on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Rose View Center where she resided for the past three years.

 

Born August 6, 1936 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Margaret (Reed) and Henry Lusk.

 

On July 10, 1959, in Williamsport she married her husband Robert J. Tallman who survives. They shared 58 years of marriage and have lived in Williamsport.

 

Carolyn was a 1954 graduate of Williamsport High School. She was employed at Tetley Tea Inc. for 36 years as a tea packer.

 

She was an active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church her entire life and served on many committees and church council. She enjoyed serving as the Sunday school superintendent. Her very favorite was singing in the choir.

 

     Carolyn also enjoyed her alias Checkers the Clown. Along by her side her sister Ann Greenaway (Rainbow). They would clown around at church and community events and visit those in the hospital and shut in’s.

     She will be remembered for her loyalty and love to her family and friends.

     In addition to her husband Robert, she is survived by her son Michael J. (Kathy) Tallman, of Lyman, S.C., and Karen (William) Dunkleberger of Ellijay, G.A. Four grandchildren, Jacob (Lindsay) Dunkleberger of Jacksonville, F.L., Patrick Tallman of Lyman, S.C., Andrew Dunkleberger of Atlanta, G.A. and Rebecca Tallman, of Lyman S.C. Three great-grandchildren, a sister, Ann Greenaway of Cogan Station, two nephews, Mark (Kari) Greenaway of Cogan Station, Steve Greenaway, of Nesbit, a niece, Cherylyn (Doug) Sauter, of Williamsport, and several great nieces and nephews.
