Carolyn June Miller, 87 of Elkhart, passed away peacefully of natural causes at Hubbard Hill Estates in Elkhart Sunday, September 24, 2017.

She was born in Elkhart, June 5, 1930, to the late Virgil and Catherine (Memmott) Bleiler.

On Sept. 4, 1947, she married Lowell E. “Larry” “Tex” Miller in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He preceded her in death as well, along with siblings Stuart Flanders, Mary Jane Bleiler and Sally Jo Ball.

Surviving are her children, Randy (Mellanie), Mark (Janette) and Scott (Kim) Miller, all of Elkhart and Carol (Bill) Miller-Shira of Winter Haven, Florida; grandchildren Matthew, Chad and Anthony Miller, Heidi Lujan, Erin Rager and Angela Bloss; and great grandchildren Alysa, Madelynn, Adam, Layla, Dylan, Liam and Zia Miller, Gabriella, Grant and Nolan Lujan and Ella and Brady Bloss.

Carolyn was a homemaker the majority of her life, but also helped her husband start the Tex Miller Supply Co., which was founded in 1971.

She also enjoyed traveling, and after a visit to St. Petersburg Beach in the early 1990s, she knew Florida was where she wanted to live and remained in the Lake Wales area until moving back to Elkhart in 2012.

She enjoyed playing cards and bingo and loved to entertain at large family gatherings.
