Carolyn Joann McDermith

Carolyn went to be with her Lord on October 2, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. She was 81 years old.
She was born to Clarence and Versa (Kinser) Jones Jr. and raised in Monte Vista, Colorado. She met the only love of her life, her “Bill” also of Monte Vista and married him on June 23, 1957. Together they had 5 children.
Before beginning her family she worked as a florist.
Mr. and Mrs. Mc Dermith retired in Cedaredge in 1992 and took a summer retirement job at Santa Maria Trout Club in Creed; CO. until 2004. They moved to Grand Junction in 2004. She is survived by her sister Sherrie Willis, Thornton, CO; her children Lindy (Charles) Browning II Grand Junction CO,
Lyla (Jay) Hinman Cora WY, Monty (Lori) Mc Dermith Cedaredge CO, and a step-son Bill (Carrie) Forsythe Los Angeles CA. A grandmother to eight grandchildren; Stephanie Johnson, Ryan Gwinn, Bryce Gwinn, Mathew Dunham, Michael Dunham, Amanda Morosini, Ryan Morosini, Candice McDermith, three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William O (Bill) McDermith; her parents, Clarence and Versa (Kinser) Jones; her brothers Gary Jones and Dennis Jones and her precious infant daughters, Lori and Roxy.
