Carolyn Jackson, 59, of New Britain, passed away on Thursday, March 27th at New Britain General Hospital. Born in Darlington, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ervin and Bulah (Samuel) James. Carolyn has lived in New Britain since 1991 moving from Middletown, was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witness in New Britain and worked at Pratt & Whitney for 28 years before retiring in 2000. She is survived by one son, Rodney C. Jackson of New Britain; a special daughter, Sylvia Jackson of Meriden; a special niece, Lottie Grant of Middletown; four brothers, Cornell James of Darlington, SC, Roosevelt James and his wife Betty of Middletown, Dewey James and his wife, Christine, of Middletown, and Ervin James and his wife, Bertha, of Whiteville, NC; two sisters, Doris Hammond and her husband, Charles, and Hattie Murray both of Darlington, SC; three grandsons, Rodney K. and Taeshaun S. Jackson of Middletown and Kristoff Jackson of Bristol; a great granddaughter, Synovia Kamp of Middletown and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
