Carolyn Diane Dixon Roten, 79, of Statesville, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022, at Maple Leaf Health Care.
Ms. Roten was born April 25, 1943, in Iredell County the daughter of the late, James C. Dixon and Lillian Campbell Dixon. She was a graduate of Scotts High School and had been employed at Kewaunee Scientific Corporation. Carolyn was a former member of Cochran Street Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda D. Key and Wanda D. Fox.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters; Elaine R. Watt (Jeff) and Kay Roten, both of Statesville, and her son, Dean Roten, II of Winston Salem, her grandchildren; Matthew Roten, Kathryn Roten, Caroline Mastrosante (Joe Mastrosante), Jeffrey E. Watt, II (Hannah M. Watt), a great granddaughter; Stella Watt, and great grandson; Micah Watt.
The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Maple Leaf Nursing Home for taking such good care of our mother for 32 years and Hospice of Iredell County for the last few months. May the Lord richly bless each of you. Sincerely, The Carolyn D. Roten Family.
