Carolyn D. Robinson, age 79, of Rensselaer, passed away May 17, 2010, at Lowell Healthcare, Lowell, IN. She was born April 27, 1931, in Fair Oaks, IN, the daughter of the late Leslie and Hattie (Rice) Warne.
Carolyn was raised in Fair Oaks and was a 1949 graduate of Fair Oaks High School. She lived in Morocco and Hobart before moving to Rensselaer. She was a member of the Iroquois Valley Christian Church in Rensselaer. Carolyn volunteered at the Rensselaer Care Center by giving manicures to the ladies there, enjoyed meeting her girlfriends for breakfast, and playing card games. She was a member of the Countryside Condo Association. Carolyn was a sales clerk at Graf Shoes for 10 years. On May 12, 1950, in Parr, Indiana Carolyn married Jackie J. “Jack” Robinson. He passed away on July 11, 2000.
Carolyn is survived by three daughters, Deb (Sam) Davis, Lowell, IN, Jeannie Sheldon, Homasassa, FL, and Deana (Todd) James, Morocco, IN; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters, and two brothers.
