Carolyn M. Braden, 68, of Odenville, Alabama passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side on Sunday, March 27, 2011. She was born July 25, 1942 in Birmingham, Alabama. Carolyn was a member of Ashville Road Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Shades Valley High School. She worked at Vulcan Materials Company for over 24 years. She began her career as the Secretary to the manager of Market Research and advanced to being a Market Research Analyst. She worked on many of the Acquisitions by Vulcan Materials including The Saudi Arabian project and the Mexico Project. She was a caring, loving wife, and mother and was an inspiration to her friends and family. She is survived by her husband, Bill Braden; son, Scott Watkins (Tammy); daughters, Lori Goehring and Paula Blankenship. She is also survived by her brother, R.B. “Bob” Myrick (Barbara); grandsons, Heathe and Matthew Watkins; granddaughters, Lindsay and Ashley Blankenship, Alexandra and Alayna Goehring; and countless others who valued her wisdom, counseling, and guidance.
