Carolyn Ann Rawe, 57, of Jacksonville, died Sept. 29, 2007, at her residence. She was born April 20, 1950, in Carrollton, the daughter of George Douglas and Helen Mary McCarty Gilbert. She married Daniel David Rawe, Sr. on April 30, 1973, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Carrollton and he survives in Jacksonville.

She is also survived by one son, Daniel David Rawe, Jr. (fianc©, Angela Edwards) of Greenfield; four daughters, Joyce Rawe (special friend, Cody Bettis) of Greenfield, Judy (husband, Will) Hinegardner of Roodhouse, Janette (husband, Bob) Heath of Carrollton and Jennifer Rawe (special friend, Terry Morris) of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren, Misti, Megan, Mark, Jr., Katie, Brady, Chance, Bobby, Paloma and Joseph; two brothers, George Douglas, II (wife, Connie) Gilbert of Noblesville, Ind. and Larry (wife, Judy) Follis of Berdan; two sisters, Mary Helen (husband, Larry) Moran of Carrollton and Rosa Gilbert of Hermitage, Tenn.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Sheryl Edwards (surviving husband, Bob of Carrollton).

Mrs. Rawe was a 1968 graduate of Carrollton High School. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Carrollton and most recently a member of Charity Southern Baptist Church in Greenfield. She loved to read, bowl, and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and was a mother to many children in the neighborhood.
