Carolyn Ann Erwin, age 70 of Brentwood, passed away May 23, 2016 after a two year battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Carolyn was born in Sacramento, Kentucky on March 8, 1946 to John Henry Reynolds and Louvenia Mae Coffman Reynolds, the seventh of eight children.Carolyn began her career in Governor Winfield Dunn’s administration in the Planning Office and was appointed as the first female Extradition Officer in the State of Tennessee. She worked for Murray Ohio Manufacturing Corporation in Brentwood for a number of years before beginning a career as a Realtor in 1985. Carolyn had a successful 31 year career in real estate, representing both buyers and sellers in Brentwood and Franklin as well as selling homes built by her husband, Steve. Carolyn enjoyed golf, boating, her grandchildren and traveling with her husband. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was loved by so many whose lives she touched. Carolyn retired from real estate in late 2015.Carolyn is survived by her husband of 52 years, Stephen G. Erwin of Brentwood; her daughter, Stephanie Erwin (Mike) Dedmon of Nashville; two grandchildren, Will Richardson and Kelsey Richardson; three step-grandsons, Nigel Dedmon, Tanner Dedmon and William Dedmon. She is also survived by sisters, Maxine (Richard) Williams of Detroit, MI, Lilda (Gil) Dortch and Rita Rickard, both of Madisonville, KY; brother, James Reynolds of Los Altos, CA; a host of many special nieces, nephews and special family members, Jarrett Simonds and Jane Hull.
