Muncie – Caroline V.
Carol was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 26, 1930, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Stevens, and attended Illinois Schools. She moved to Muncie at the age of sixteen.
Mrs. Mercer started working at the age of thirteen and continued working until her retirement from Smith’s Restaurant in 1984.
Survivors include a son, Kenny Mercer, Muncie; two daughters, Cathy Collins, (husband-Greg), Muncie, and Sharon Jones, (husband-Rick), Muncie; a brother, Robert L. Stevens, (wife-Edna), Rapid City, South Dakota; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of twenty-eight years, Dallas Mercer, and a son, Terry Davidson.
