CAROLINA G. SILVA Carolina G. (Melo) Silva, 92, of Danbury, died on Monday, May 20, 2013 at Filosa Nursing Home. Carolina was born in Fial, Azores, Portugal on February 20, 1921; daughter of the late Jose and Amelia (Costa) Melo. She was married to the late Eduino S. Silva in 1950. Carolina arrived in the U.S. in 1952 and settled in New Haven. She worked in manufacturing in the New Haven and Hamden area. After Eduino passed in 1993, Carolina and daughter Elise moved from West Haven to Danbury to be with family. Her daughter Elise passed in October 2011. Carolina will be remembered for her warm personality and engaging smile. She endeared all who met her and made long lasting friendships.
