IACOBUCCICarolina M. “Carol” (nee Sardella), age 80, of Springfield on November 23, 2017.Beloved wife of the late Anthony J. “Tony” and loving mother of the late Anthony L. “Cris”She is survived by her loving children; Mary Ann Messick (Bill), Raymond A. (Rosemary), Michael A. (Lynn) and David Mulhern; 7 adoring grandchildren and 6 cherished great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Robert and Guy Sardella and her sisters, Angela Cellinese and Grace Sardella.Carol was a devout Catholic, and loyal parishioner of Saint Francis of Assisi in Springfield for 57 years. As a volunteer at the Padre Pio Center, Carol traveled across the region to visit people with life threatening illnesses, bringing the glove of Saint Padre Pio and providing spiritual counsel. She volunteered at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for 20 years supporting families with children who were undergoing operations. Carol will be remembered by her family and friends for her caring and giving nature, boundless energy and many funny stories. Her children and grandchildren will fondly remember her Christmas Eve dinners and the pots of gravy lovingly delivered on wheels to their garage doors every Sunday afternoon.
