Giannotti, Carolina Lina. Age 85, of Riverview. August 17, 2007. Beloved wife of Angelo. Loving mother of Frank (Liliana), Maria (Gaetano) Chirco and Nick (Bridget). Proud grandmother of Angelo (Rosalia) Carolina, Angela (Giacamo) Palazzolo, Gaetano C. Chirco, Nicholas (Meghan) and Michael (Katie). Great-grandmother of Dante, Isabella and Marcello Palazzolo. Lina came from Bonefro Campobasso, Italy with her three children in 1954. Her husband Angelo followed in 1957. They opened Lina’s Pizzeria in 1962 and retired in 1969. They spent many years in Florida during the winter months. Lina enjoyed traveling, socializing and gardening. She was proud of her many flowers she planted in her yard which were enjoyed by all who passed by her home. Lina loved baking pizza for her family and many friends . She belonged to many civic clubs including Downriver Italian American Club, Knights of Columbus, Democratic Club, Riverview Seniors and St. Cyprian’s Ladies Guild. Lina will be missed dearly by all her club friends and family.
