Carole Tessmer passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at home at The Pines At Whiting in Manchester, NJ from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. She was 84 years old. Carole was the fourth of thirteen children born to Clifford and Ethel Flagg of Maplewood, NJ. She was a graduate of Columbia High School and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University.

After raising her children in Whippany, NJ, Carole returned to work as a secretarial staff member for 10 years in the Art Department of the Silver Burdett Publishing Company in Morristown, NJ. After leaving there, she became a licensed Real Estate Agent and retired in 1995 from the Weichert Relators Morristown-West office in Morristown, NJ. Upon retirement Carole moved to Leisure Village East, Lakewood, NJ. She loved the beach, she was an avid dancer, took up golf and got a hole-in-one, and enjoyed the Book Club and Pine Cone Club at Leisure Village.

In 2013 Carole moved to The Pines At Whiting where she participated in many of the activities offered and she continued with her love of dance. She was predeceased by her brothers William, Clifford, Alan, Robert, Chester and Ronald Flagg and sisters Ruth Lysaght, Lois Flagg and Joan Payne. Carole is survived by her son Todd Tessmer of East Hanover, NJ; her son and daughter-in-law Martin and Angela Tessmer of Morristown, NJ; her daughter Susan Stack of Hawaii; her two brothers Richard Flagg of AZ and David Flagg of NC; her sister Linda Snodgrass of CA; and Carole’s four grandchildren, Stephen & Ryan Stack, Alex & Victoria Tessmer. She is also survived by her ex-husband Helmut Tessmer.
