Naugatuck – Carole H. Merritt, 67, loving wife of Walter J. Merritt passed away on Wednesday April 1, 2009 with friends and family at her bedside.
Born on September 18, 1941, Carole was the daughter of the late Everett W. and Dorothy Ellen (Wooster) Harris of Plymouth.
Carole spent her life caring for all who knew and needed her. She spent her last few years volunteering for the Friends of Homeless Animals.
She is survived by her husband Walter J. Merrit, three sons, Richard Atherton of Waterbury, Kerry Atwood of Portland, ME, Brian Atwood of Naugatuck, two daughters, Joy Iffland of Torrington, Jodie Giesy of Bristolville, OH, three stepsons, Kyle Merritt of Danbury, Sean Merritt of Ft.
