Carole M. Owings, nee Morrow, 74, of O’Fallon, IL, born May 28, 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL. Carole worked for 23 years as a receptionist/ office manager at Associated Pediatric Dentistry. She was a member of the O’Fallon YMCA and enjoyed participating in the water aerobics class with her many friends there.
loved Pittsburgh and all it had to offer, especially Pittsburgh Steelers football, Pittsburgh Pirates baseball and Pittsburgh Penguins hockey. She really loved spending time with her family and friends, having fun and enjoying their company; taking cruises with family and friends was a favorite outing, but she also loved travelling to help celebrate special occasions or just to visit. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Estella Morrow, nee Knox; one brother, Eugene Morrow; and one sister, Elsie Crider.
Surviving are her loving husband of 53 years, Markley James Owings, Jr.; two children, Lori Blankenship of Bloomington, IL, Kurt Owings of Roxana, IL; one sister, Janet Fredley of Grand Rapids, MI; four grandchildren, Phillip Blankenship, Jacob Blankenship, Christina Blankenship, Ronald Blankenship, Jr.; one great-grandchild, Shaelynn Keomala; and many nieces and nephews.
