Carole Ann Taylor was born Carole Spagnola, on May 2nd, 1939, to Thomas Spagnola and Olivia (Gorman) Spagnola.  On April 22, 1972 Carole married Philip Grant Taylor. They remained devotedly married for almost 50 years, raising two children, and becoming the grandparents to four.  They lived in Park Slope Brooklyn throughout this time and spent summers and weekends in the Hamptons.

Born and raised in in Ventnor City, NJ, she attended Atlantic City High School class of 1957, then went to Trenton Junior College, before transferring and graduating from Columbia University with a degree in Physical Therapy in 1964. Her first career was as a physical therapist, quickly rising to Chief of Physical Therapy at Metropolitan Hospital in NYC. Her second career as a devoted, creative and adoring mother. Her third career was as a real estate developer, first in historic residential properties in Brooklyn, then in commercial, waterfront, and historic landmarks.  Most notably, she was President of Wings Point Associates, who restored the historic…

Carole was an avid tennis player, gourmet cook, active community member, and dedicated friend to many. She was passionate about rescuing dogs and put her extensive physical therapy experience into the design of a rescue dog rehabilitation program at the Animal Rescue Fund in East Hampton NY.  She died on July 2, 2021. The loss of her life will be felt by many, most notably her surviving husband, son Trevor Taylor and his three children Devon Philip Taylor, Brandon Lawrence Taylor, Keira Alessandra Taylor , as well as her daughter Jyll Miakoda Taylor and her child Ezelle Ayodele Taylor.
