Carol Sue Morris, 53, of Galesburg, died at 11:50 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2010, at home. Carol was born on March 12, 1957, in Galesburg the daughter of Arnold and Darlene (Briggs) Thompson.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Thompson of Peoria and Mark Thompson of Chicago; a daughter, Stacy (Travis Anderson) of Galesburg; 5 brothers, Arnold (Sharon) Thompson, Jr. of Galesburg, Jerry (Mary) Thompson of East Galesburg, Eugene (Florence) Briggs of Gilson, Billy (Sally) Thompson of Galesburg, and Don Thompson of Rock Island. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Noah and Lexi Anderson and Jareth and Conor Buckert-Anderson, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jim Thompson and Bobby Briggs, and a nephew, Jimmy Thompson Jr.Carol worked at Marigold Healthcare Center as a CNA for many years.
She loved crossword puzzles, being in her backyard by her fire, going to casinos, and being with her family.
