Carol Shew 53, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011 at
Union Hospital of Clinton. She was born March 26,
1958 in DeKalb, IL to Jerome and Alberta Berkes. Carol
is a sister in Christ belonging to the Clinton 1st Untied
She truly loved to work with the youth. Growing up in
Girl Scouts. Carol was a devoted wife, mother, and
nurse. Carol married Edward S. Shew on August 22, 1981
in DeKalb, IL. She spent 24 years working in the ER at
Union Hospital of Clinton.
She was preceded in death by her father; Jerome Berkes
9/11/2002 and a son; Jeff Shew 11/1/1994.
She is survived by her husband; Edward S. Shew of Clinton.
Two sons; John & (Heather) Shew of El Segundo, CA.,
and Nathan Shew of Muncie, IN. Two brothers; John & (Donna) Berkes
of Dallas, GA., and Sam & (Kathy) Berkes of DeKalb, IL.
A sister; Eileen Berkes of Waukegan, IL., and several
nieces and nephews.
