Carol R. Kerr, 86, of Lafayette, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, November 17, 2017 at her residence. She was born June 10, 1931, in Lafayette to the late W. Keith and Mabel Hart Schilling.
Carol graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1950. On November 25, 1955, she married Harry I Kerr in Lafayette and he survives. Carol worked in Admissions at St. Elizabeth Hospital for over 20 years and is retired. Carol enjoyed watching sports, Lawrence Welk, old movies and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving along with her husband are her children, Gretchen Fruits Lone of Lafayette, Robin (Rebecca) Kerr of East Stroudsburg, PA, Lisa Becker, Nanette Borton both of Lafayette, Bryan Kerr of Aliso Viejo, Ca, 19 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother Nathan (Kate) Schilling of MN.
Carol was preceded in death by her son Mark Kerr, granddaughter Julia A. Montgomery and brother Alan Schilling.
