Carol Ann Nikkel, 55, Chattanooga, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009, in a local hospital. She was a native of Lansing, Michigan, and had been a resident of the Chattanooga area for the past 10 years. Mrs. Nikkel was a member of the New City Fellowship. She loved to teach and was a beloved wife, mother, and teacher. Mrs. Nikkel and her husband, served as missionaries for seven years in Sierra Leone, West Africa. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Bolt. Survivors are her husband of 24 years, Steven Nikkel; sons, Joshua (Victoria) Nikkel, Cookeville, Jordan Nikkel, Chattanooga; father, Clarence Bolt; brother, John (Nancy) Bolt; sister, Marjorie (John) Hoekstra, all of Holland, Michigan.
