Caroline Mary (nee Ratajczak) Counts, age 60, of Morocco passed away September 29, 2011 at St. Margaret Mercy Hospital in Dyer, Indiana.
Carol was born in Calumet City, Illinois on August 15, 1951, the daughter of the late Eugene and Doreen (nee Thomas) Ratajczak.
Carol lived in Calumet City for 26 years and attended TF North High School where she held several swimming records and served as a officer in the G.A.A. On June 18, 1986 in Virginia Carol married Patrick Counts who survives. A resident of Morocco for the past 17 years, she had also lived in Dolton, IL for 16 years. She was employed since 2001 with the North Newton School Corporation and was currently the bus driver for the special needs bus. Carol was a member of the Daughters of the V.F.W.
Surviving with her loving husband Patrick are five children, Jill (Youngs) Josephson of DeMotte, Lance (Karen) Youngs of Rensselaer, Evan Counts of Morocco, Brittany (Matt) Dykstra of San Pierre and Colin Counts of Morocco; five grandchildren, Amber, Tyler, Madison and Aidan Josephson and Ben Dykstra; one sister, Janet Snyder of Dyer, IN, and two brothers, Jeffery Ratajczak of Griffith, IN and Michael Ratajczak of Westville, IN.
