Carol (Morse) Ratliff, 92, of Plainville, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the love of her family on Friday April 8, 2011. She was the wife of the late Rev. Grover B. Ratliff. Born on August 30, 1918 in Plainville, she was the daughter of the late Luke and Mary (Bates) Morse.
Carol attended the University of Connecticut, graduating in 1940 with a degree in French.
She leaves behind three children: Phyllis Gediman and her husband Alvin, Thomas Ratliff and his girlfriend Lisa Little, and Mark Ratliff, all of Plainville; three grandsons: Benjamin Gediman, Robert Gediman, and Christian Ratliff; five great-grandchildren: Devin, Stephanie, Kyle, Audrey, and Phoebe Gediman; two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Richard Morse and her sister Marion Riggs.
