Carol J. (Webster) Lambert, age 79 of Midland, died Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at MidMichigan Medical Center.
The daughter of the late Lewis and Verda (Murray) Webster was born August 18, 1931 in San Diego, California. As a child she moved to Freeland and graduated from Midland High School.
Carol married Leo “Bill” Lambert in Angola, Indiana on April 4, 1953. After 51 years of marriage, Bill died December 9, 2004.
Carol had worked at Michigan Bell as an operator for several years and at Dow Chemical as a data processor for over 20 years, retiring in 1986. In her younger years, the Lambert’s enjoyed square dancing with the Valley Twirlers. They were members of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association Chapter V for 15 years. They did extensive motorcycle traveling throughout the United States including all but two states and into Nova Scotia.
Carol was a kind hearted lady, giving and sharing wherever she was needed. She was known as the “Teddy Bear Lady” for her donations of teddy bears for children given to the Midland Law Enforcement and the Midland County Probate Court.
Mrs. Lambert is survived by her daughters, Diane (Mike) Giltrop of L’Anse, Michigan, Laurilee (Doug) Eades of Delta, Colorado; Julie Dubbs of Midland; grandchildren, Terri Eades, Matthew Eades, Michael Dubbs; and brothers, Lewis “Bud” (Kathy) Webster and Robert (Nancy) Webster.
