Carol I. Stubblefield, age 86, of DeMotte, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 21, 2021.
Carol was born on July 18, 1934 in Chesterton, Indiana, the daughter of Ralph & Pauline (Willett) Crisman, both deceased. After the early death of Carol’s parents, she was raised by Collin & Mabel Patton, also both deceased. Carol graduated from Wheeler High School, Class of 1953. She married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Stubblefield on December 12, 1954 in Wheeler, Indiana. They have lived in DeMotte since 1969. Carol worked at the Jasper County license branch in both DeMotte and Rensselaer as a clerk for 15 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of DeMotte.
Carol is survived by her husband of 66 years , Bob Stubblefield of DeMotte, daughter, Sandra (Rich) McQuinn of Lafayette, IN, son, Steve (Vickie) Stubblefield of DeMotte, IN, a daughter in law Robin Hamstra, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and brothers: Virgil (Millie) Crisman, and Paul (Betty) Crisman. She was preceded in death by her parents, adoptive parents, son, Larry Stubblefield a sister, Phyllis Crockett and a brother Melford Crisman,.
