Carol Evelyn Yates, 81, of New Whiteland, Indiana passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.
Carol was born on November 29, 1938 to the late Charles and Amy Holderman in Indianapolis, Indiana.
She worked for 16 years as a Caretaker for Johnson County Gateway Services. She greatly enjoyed the time she spent with family and friends, but also found enjoyment in playing bingo and poker, working on puzzles, reading books, and cooking. While an active member, she fondly enjoyed her time as a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Left to cherish her memory are her five children, David Yates (Cindy) of New Whiteland, IN, Vickie Dalton (Rick) of Indianapolis, IN, Robin Parton of New Whiteland, IN, Brian Yates (Debbie) of New Whiteland, IN, and Tracy Philpott (Frank) of Greenwood, IN; her siblings, Shirley Jagodzinski (Stanley) of Venice, FL, Janet Moore (Gary) of McKee, KY, James Holderman (Teri) of Brown County, IN, and Charles Holderman (Jeanie) of Texas; as well as 11 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Alexander Yates; her parents; and brother, Raymond Holderman.
