Carol Carman-Bronson, age 67, of Algona, died on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at her home. Carol Jean Thompson, the daughter of William Rowland and Mary Ann (Davis) Thompson, was born on November 10, 1946 in Algona, Iowa. She graduated from Algona High School in 1964. On January 31, 2009 Carol was united in marriage with Ken Carman in Algona. Carol had worked as a CNA at Algona Manor. She retired in 2011 due to illness. Carol enjoyed reading, visiting residents at the Algona Manor, playing cards, gambling and scratch tickets. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family get together. Left to cherish Carol’s memory is her husband Ken; son Jason Bronson and his wife Crystal from Algona; five grandchildren Rachel, Alex, Skylar, Gavin and Zachary Bronson; mother, Mary Ann Thompson of Algona; eight sisters, Patricia Thompson of Spencer, Roberta (Jerry) Grandgenett of Algona, Sue Thompson of Mason City, Sandy (Dave) Coyle of LuVerne, Becky (Mark) Kramer of LuVerne, Julie (Paul Elbert) Thompson of Algona, Barbie (Nick) Detrick of Algona and Lori (Steve) Krug of Algona; and a brother, Earl (Mary) Thompson of Algona. She was preceded in death by her father; a sister, Darlene Menke; and a brother, Robert Thompson.
