Carol Ann Payne, 67, of Three Oaks, Michigan, died Tuesday evening, January 30, 2007, at St. Anthony Memorial Health Center in Michigan City, Indiana.Carol was born December 14, 1939 in Michigan City to Arthur and Arline (Edinger) Koth. After graduating from Three Oaks High School in 1957, Carol continued her education at secretarial college in South Bend, Indiana. On May 16, 1959 she married William Payne in Michigan City.
Carol was a talented seamstress, making clothes and beautiful quilts for her family. She loved craft projects and was handy with upholstery. Carol enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, freezing and canning much of her produce each year.Survivors include her husband, William Payne; daughter, Barbara Brandys of Three Oaks; son, Drexel Payne of Michigan City; and grandchildren, Stephanie and Rachael. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brother, Robert Koth.
