Carol Ann Kennedy Mylod November 9, 1938 – July 4, 2014 NOTRE DAME – Carol Ann (Kennedy) Mylod passed away on July 4, 2014. Carol was born in New York City to the late Edward Kennedy and Jennie Lee Kennedy. She graduated from Dominican Academy, the College of New Rochelle, and St. John’s University. Carol taught, both full time and part time, for 45 years- overseas, in NYC and in the suburbs. For the first 20 years she taught in high schools with a Master’s Degree in History. For the second 20 years, she taught at the college-level with a doctorate in English. Carol spent the last 8 years before retirement at Molloy College in Rockville Centre, NY. She was a member of Municipal Historians of New York State and after 31 years as Village historian for Bellerose Village, retired as Historian Emerita. She moved to the South Bend area in 2008 to be near her grandchildren. Carol is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Mylod, with whom she celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary in April 2013. She is also survived by her daughter, Deirdre (Paul); grandchildren, Thomas and Charlotte; brother, Edward (Jo-Ellen); nieces, Christina (Christopher) and Alanna (Peter); and nephew, Edward (Tatyana). Carol was preceded in death by her son, Thomas James Mylod III. 3545 N. 3545 N.
