SALEM – Carol Ann Englert, age 65, of Salem, died at 10:16 a.m. on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Edgewood, Florida. She was born August 31, 1952 in Salem, the daughter of Elmer Reed and the late Joan Anna (Umbenhauer) Reed.
Carol retired in 2016 as a Pharmacy Tech in the Pharmacy Department after 40 years of service at the Salem Regional Medical Center in Salem. She was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church, a 1970 graduate of Salem High School, a member of the 50 Plus Card Club and loved to travel. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Englert, whom she married July 17, 1971; father, Elmer Reed of Salem; a daughter, Jody (Drew Percival) Thackery of Sorrento, FL; a son-in-law, Mark Milliken Jr. of Salem; a sister, Valerie (Fred) Brickner of Lisbon; three grandchildren, Evan and Landon Thackery and Aidan Milliken.
Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Carol Milliken.
