Carol Ann Altamura, 68, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. Born on December 12, 1951 in Scranton, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Vito and Lenore (Gentile) Samela.
Carol Ann was the loving wife of Arthur “Art” Altamura. Carol Ann and Art had a love to rival all. The love, friendship and commitment to family that they shared will transcend time for all eternity.
Carol Ann shared her passion and gift for numbers and education with many. She began her career as a mathematics teacher at Teaneck High School in New Jersey and retired from Randolph High School in New Jersey. Carol Ann prided herself on the many lives she touched through being an educator. She was a member of St. Anne’s Church, Bethlehem.
Those blessed to know Carol Ann knew her love, generosity and selflessness was limitless. She put everyone before herself especially her children and grandchildren. Simply put, she was truly the best mother and grandmother in the world and will forever remembered as such. We have lost an angel here on earth and heaven has gained one. Carol Ann will be missed by each and every one of us.
Survivors: In addition to her husband Art, Carol Ann will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Michael Cuccio, Anthony Cuccio (predeceased) and Daniel Cuccio and wife Natalia; daughter, Christina Santos and husband Sergio; grandchildren, Jordan Cuccio and Cameron Cuccio; brother, Robert Samela and wife Susan; brother in law, Gregory Altamura and wife Geri; brother in law Peter Altamura (predeceased) and wife Helen; sister in law Anna Marie Altamura; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
