Carney Rand Crick, age 88, of Birmingham, passed away October 28, 2010. He was retired from the US Postal Service with 35 years of service. He had a lifelong interest in golf, beginning at age 11 as a caddie at Roebuck Golf Club to become a USGA committeeman from 1992-2007 as a rules official. He was a member of the American Society of Golf Course Raters and Chairman of the Alabama Course Rating Committee 8 years, and was inducted into the BGA Hall of Fame in 1997. And in 2007, he was an Honorary Letter Winner from the UAB Blazers Basketball Athletic Department.
