Carmine “Geddy” Tarantino, 97, of Holiday City Carefree section of Berkeley Twp., NJ passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015. Born in Jersey City, NJ he was a longtime resident of Jersey City before moving to Berkeley Twp. in 1978.
He was a graduate of St. Peter’s College, Jersey City, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. Carmine was a Postal Supervisor for the United States Post Service in Kearny, NJ, for 30 years. He was a US Army WWII veteran and served in the Battle of the Bulge. Carmine was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twp.
He was predeceased by his wife, Teresa, in 2009.
Carmine is survived by his 2 children and their spouses Charles & Dorothy Tarantino of Manchester Twp., NJ, and Andrea & David Gilch of Watchung, NJ.
