Carmen Pena Zamarron

Carmen Pena Zamarron, 78, entered into eternal rest to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Valley Baptist Medical Center. She was a native of Harlingen a member of a pioneer Harlingen family. She was employed for 45 years as a radiologist at Valley Baptist Medical Center.Carmen was a woman of faith, a devout catholic who lived a life of service as a longtime member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. She served the Lord by serving others providing words of comfort, prayer, transportation, and Christian love she had for all. She was a member of the group Servios del Divino Amor and a member of the Tertiary Carmelite Order.She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Miguel Zamarron Sr., daughter Erika Zamarron, and sister Yolanda Leal.Survivors include daughter, Marie Bernadette Zamarron, son, Miguel Zamarron Jr., grandchildren: Alejandra De Jesus, Catalina Rodriguez, Michael Storey Grubb, Frances Zamarron and Miguel Zamarron III, and sisters Ofelia Pena and Ninfa Gaytan. She is also survived by several nephews, nieces other relatives and friends.
