Carmelo Fontana, 85, of Bellevue, Ohio died September 26, 2014 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky.
Carmelo was born November 15, 1928 in S.Agata di Militello, Sicily to Benedetto and Maria (Artino) Fontana.
He is survived by his beloved wife of over 63 years, Angela (Faraci) and their five children: Maria (Calogero) Piscitello of Cleveland, Pina (Charles) Cochey of Bellevue, Biagio of Clyde, Ben (Brenda) of Bellevue, and Linda (Todd) Auvil of Lorain. Carmelo was a very proud Nonno of his thirteen Grandchildren: Steve (Nicole), Tim (Lisa), Jason (Lindsey), Chris (Lauren), Angela, Elizabeth, Benny, McKenzie, Bridget, Dawson, Bailee, Ross and Ryan. Carmelo was also the proud Great-Grandfather of seven. Carmelo was a cherished brother of Teresa and Rosalia both of S. Agata di Militello, Sicily.
In 1970, he and his wife moved their young family to Bellevue, Ohio from Sicily for a better life. He retired from A.
