Carmella Margaret Tenda Colombo, 84, of N. 21st Street, Clarksburg, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 in the United Hospital Center. Mrs. Colombo was a retired cook with the Harrison County board of Education. She was born in Clarksburg on June 1, 1926, a daughter of the late Carlo and Catherine Manchina Tenda. She was married to Anthony J. Colombo on January 20, 1959, who preceded her in death. Surviving is one son, Anthony J. Colombo, Clarksburg; one daughter, Catherine Colombo Leeson and her husband Billy, Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren, Chelsey Colombo, Nicholas Leeson and Kaylee Leeson; and one great grandchild, Tanner Leeson. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having also been preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters, Dominic Tenda, Joe Tenda, Patsy Tenda, Johnny Tenda, Mike Tenda, Tony Tenda, Frank Tenda, Sam Tenda, Rose Herrick, Mary Scott, Angeline Bragg, and 2 in infancy. Mrs. Colombo was a member of the St. James Catholic Church and the St. James Alter Rosary Society. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
