Carlus Mayne, 73, of Kingwood, WV, died on Thursday, May 18, 2017, as a result of a work related accident.
Carlus was born October 11, 1943, in Cuzzart, a son of the late Leroy and Ella Mae (Rodeheaver) Mayne.
Carlus was a mechanic for several years with Garrett Mining Supply. He was a past member of the KVFD and Honorary Fireman for the Preston County Buckwheat Festival; a past member of the Kingwood Eagles. Carlus enjoyed golfing, spending time with his family and especially with his new grandson Henry.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Lee (Christopher) Mayne; one son and spouse, Johnathan David “JD” and Tara Mayne of Millwood; one brother, Don Mayne and companion Wilma Armstrong of Aurora; two sisters-in-law, Thelma Jean Garbart of Kingwood, Patty Sue Bauer and Hubert Bauer of Warren, OH; one grandson, Henry Nathaniel Mayne; his four furry friends, two cats, Kevin & Kyle and two dogs, Abby & Tilly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant sons, Timothy and Gregory Mayne; brother-in-law, Kenneth Garbart.
