Carl Weldon “Yee” Jenkins, 75, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday July 7, 2007 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late George J.F. and Louise (Gunn) Jenkins. He was often called the Mayor of South Bethlehem, because he knew and always spoke to everyone. Carl worked for the Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 42 years until retiring. He was a member of First U.C.C. in Bethlehem, the Elks, Bethel Lodge #1284 IBPOE of W, Hellertown American Legion, CVA and he was a sponsor and honorary member of Wall 2 Wall UYO. Survivors: Long time companion of 17 years, Helen Voight; son Milton and his wife Kim; daughters Deborah Fuller-King and her husband Bobby, Carla Jenkins-McDonald and her husband Jonafer, Brenda Holmes and her husband Edward, Charlene Jenkins-Hilliard and her husband Darrun, Wendy Lauser and her husband Adam; grandchildren Norell Fuller, Jonafer & Jazmyn McDonald, Dominique, Devine & Dante Holmes, Darrun Hilliard, II. He is also survived by Adam Jr., Alex Lauser, Patty Holmes; extended family Janice Banko, Douglas and Alex Voight as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Helen Lucy, son Carl Baatz and by brothers, Nathaniel Gunn and George J.F. Jenkins, Jr.
