Carl Weathersby, 58, passed away on August 15, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. Carl was born August 6, 1954 to Tommie and Jessie Lee(Tyrone) Weathersby in Prentiss, Mississippi. They relocated to Flag staffing 1961. Carl was baptized at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church. He attended school at South Beaver Elementary as well as Kinsey Elementary. After graduating from Flagstaff High School he continued his education at Arizona State University.
Carl worked for AJ Bayless grocery stores in Flagstaff and Phoenix and drove 18-wheelers for Swift for many years. His interests included outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, and playing sports .He was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing dominoes and spending time with his family and friends. Carl was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He worked very hard and his family always came first. Yet, he was also a kind man and will be missed greatly!
He is survived by his wife, Geneice Weathersby, four children; Gabrielle Stringer, Jenelle Malone (John), Kiara Weathersby and Carl Jerard(CJ)Weathersby, five grandchildren; sister Kathryn Weathersby Ray; brother Tommie Weathersby; Mother in law Sally Spencer; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents Tommie and Jessie Weathersby. He also has relatives in Mississippi, Louisiana, New York, Chicago, Washington, California and Oregon.
