C. Steve “Bear” Alderson, 63, of Jacksonville, IL died Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.
He was born March 16, 1954 in Jacksonville and was raised in the home of his aunt and uncle, Doris Alderson of Jacksonville and her late husband, Carl “Arlie” Alderson.
He is also survived by two sons, Denver Alderson of Jacksonville and Eli Volk of Mt. Sterling and two cousins, Jeff Alderson and Debbie Pond (husband, Brian), all of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by twin infant sons, Denver Carl Alderson and Brandon David Alderson.
Steve was a 1972 graduate of Jacksonville High School and retired from the Jacksonville Developmental Center.
