Carl Kuebler, 93, of Great Falls, passed away at his residence on April 21, 2015.

Carl was born on August 6, 1921 to parents Charles and Janet Kuebler at their homestead in Terry, MT where Carl grew up and went to school. A rancher’s son, Carl continued the legacy as a rancher, father, and husband. In Fort Benton during the year of 1941, Carl married the woman who would become the love and center of his life, Rosalie Orum Kuebler. And from that blessed union they brought 2 daughters and 3 sons into the world. Throughout Carl’s life, he worked on several ranches throughout central Montana, retiring from Willow Creek Ranch in Belt, in 1985. He loved good cows, good horses, and tall green grass. He had fond memories of Willow Creek and took great pride in the many improvements he made over the years. After retiring to Fort Shaw, he and Rosalie operated rental properties and a trailer park. In his spare time, Carl continued to train colts and rope. Even at 89, he broke two fillies.

Carl loved to rodeo and team roped at local clubs and jack-pots until he was in his 80’s. He and his grandson Clay Sacks won a team roping competition at Twin Bridges when he was still a young 83 years old. Additionally, Carl served on the Two Buttes Water Association for more than 20 years.

He is survived by his beautiful wife of 74 years, Rosalie Kuebler; daughters, Carol (Gary) Young, Julie (Ray) Sacks; sons, Lee Roy (Betty) Kuebler, Lyle Kuebler; daughter-in-law, Judy Kuebler; sister, Dorothy Raisser, 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Carl was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Janet Kuebler, 7 siblings, by his son, Jerry Kuebler, and daughter-in-law Penny (Lyle) Kuebler.
