Carl J. Wink Winkel, 70, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 7:32 a.m., Sunday, February 25, 2007, in Memorial Hospital. Carl was born on November 19, 1936 in South Bend to Albert and Antoinette (Krol) Winkel. He retired in 2000 from Reith Riley Local #364, where he was employed as a truck driver for over 25 years. On October 19, 1957, in South Bend, he married Lorraine C. Bryda, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Peggy A. (Gregory) Steveken of South Bend, IN; three sons, Timothy G.J. Winkel, Gary A. Winkel, and Anthony P. (Cindy) Winkel all of South Bend, IN; six grandchildren, Nicole, Brock, Taylor, Riley, Cole, and Jessica; and one niece, Brenda Kirwin of Rothburry, MI. Carl was preceded in death his granddaughter, Devin. Friends may call from 1 until 4 p.m.
