Carl Harry Rathke was born in Detroit, MI to the late Carl E. and Bertha Adams Rathke. He was preceded in death by his sister, Pat Williamson. Carl is survived by his wife, Louan and children, Susan (Wayne) Pope, Chuck (Jennifer) Rathke and Libby Rathke and four grandchildren, Brian Kidd, Kelsey Kidd, Justin (Melanie) Rathke and Nicholas Rathke. Carl was a Band Director and Music teacher. He taught music at Destin Elementary School for 20 years. He retired from teaching in 1988.
