Carl H. Wise, Sr., 77, of Fortville, passed away on April 22, 2013, at his home.
He was born February 22, 1936, in Indianapolis to the late Watt and Katherine (Burgen) Wise.
He was a painter for over 60 years, most recently at C.B. Walls. He was also a member of The Church at the Well, an avid woodworker, and enjoyed bowling, dancing, and fishing.
Carl is survived by his wife Martha H. (Blake) Wise whom he married on January 30, 1973; daughter Tina (Michael) DeWitt of Fairland; son Carl Wise, Jr. (Lydia) of Indianapolis; daughter Rhonda Goodlet of Ft. Wayne; daughter Linda Hipskind of Indianapolis; daughter Barbara Wise of Indianapolis; daughter Jackie (Dennis) Estep of Avon; son Steven Elliott of Schofield, WI; son Curtis (Denise Malispino) Wise of Indianapolis; son Watt Wise & Family of Clearwater, FL; daughter Donna (Frank) Dick of Indianapolis; daughter Darlene (Randy) Stoute of Fairland; daughter Marsha Diane Wood of Indianapolis; daughter Leslie Wood of Oxford, NC and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother Gene.
