Carl H. Tyson, age 77, of Salem died at 6:20 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at the Essex of Salem III. He was born April 14, 1937 in Kentucky the son of the late William E. and Arlene Tyson. Carl was a foundry worker for Quaker City Castings. His wife, Myrna M. (Shoaf) Tyson, whom he married June 3, 1962, preceded him in death on May 12, 2009. Survivors include a son, Michael J. Tyson of Salem; 2 daughters, Kathy (Glenn) Virden of Plant City, Florida and Christina Williams of New Cumberland, West Virginia; 2 brothers, Luciana “Tom” Tyson and Bill Tyson both of Kentucky and 2 grandchildren.
