Carl Eugene Smith, age 59, of Thornton, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Ruby Memorial. He was born January 11, 1954, in Grafton, a son of the late Fred Smith and Iva Peters Smith. His wife Betty Jean Drummond, survives. Carl loved the outdoors, especially like to go fishing and camping. He worked for the Dept. of Highways of Preston County. and Green Arch Recycling Plant in PA.
Surviiving are his children, Mary Ann Drummond, PA. Rosie Anderson and husband Vernon, PA. Iva Drummond, Ohio and Allen Smith and wife Sharon, Grafton. thirteen grandchildren, twenty one step grandchildren, and five step great grandchildren, two sister; Mary Shaffer, SD, and Paulette Taylor, Thornton, one brother; Paul Smith, Ohio, one half sister; Mary Lou Duley, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by: three brothers, Burtsell Smith, Jim Smith, Eddie Smith.
