Carl Elmo Turner, 87, Hamilton, passed away June 17, 2012 at Hospice of Hamilton-Hamilton, Ohio after an extended illness.
He was born November 3, 1924 in Berea, Kentucky, and resided in Anderson from 1993-2010 then to Hamilton, Ohio. Carl served his country in the US Army during WWII. He retired as a welder at General Electric after 28 years of service. Carl was a member of Valley Grove Free Will Baptist Church and the Dayton, Ohio Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife whom he married November 30, 1993, Doris Hall Turner; sons, Mick Turner Sandy of Las Vegas, Tim Turner Judy of Georgetown, Kentucky and Jim Turner of Jeffersonville; daughter, Vickie Burns of Lexington, Kentucky; step-daughters, Debbie Whiteman Mike of Anderson and Delisa Carpenter of Anderson; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; and 6 step-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Dora Dooley Turner; one brother; and one sister.
