Carl E. Welch
PORTAGE LAKES – Carl E. Welch, 75, passed away July 18, 2014. He was born to Carl E. and Marjorie (nee Hayes) Welch in Akron, Ohio and has lived in the Portage Lakes for over forty years. He retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. and was a member of Stan Hywet Garden Club. Carl especially enjoyed living in the Portage Lakes where he was active in the community and participated in many local events.
Mr. Welch is preceded in death by both parents and his wife, Dottie. He is survived by children, Dennis Amodio, Tony Amodio, Reynold (Dawn) Amodio, Julie Amodio, Lonnie (Mary) Welch and Tim (Sylvia) Welch, brothers, Donald (Carol) Forret, Larry (Debbie) Ealy, sisters, Diana (John) Bennett and Nancy Polen, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
