Carl Daniel Cooper,69, died peacefully surrounded by his family at his home.
A native of Rockingham Co., he was a son of the late Fred H. and Mozelle Meeks Cooper and had lived in Reidsville most of his life. He was a graduate of Ruffin High School, class of 1967, and graduated from RCC in 1969. Carl was of Baptist faith and a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He returned home from his tour of duty in Vietnam and became involved in the automobile business. Carl worked for Bill Bason Pontiac Buick, Reidsville, Galloway Buick, Greensboro and came back to Reidsville with Bill Child’s Chevrolet before becoming self-employed in the automobile business.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Evans Cooper of the home; daughter, Amanda Cooper Willard; grandchildren, Tyler Green, McKenzie Willard and Sophie Hall brother, Fred Cooper and wife, Carolyn; sisters, Patricia Nathan and husband, Alex; Deborah Ball and husband, Jerry; nephew, Blake Cooper and wife, Jennifer.
