Carl D. Shellenberger, 89, of South Bend, Indiana passed away at 10:20 p.m., Monday, June 21, 2005 in St. Pauls Retirement Community. Carl was born on February 29, 1916 in South Bend, to Claude and Bertha (Ipes) Shellenberger. He retired in May 1980 from Allied Stamping Division. On December 21, 1940, in South Bend, he married Martha E. Gosbin, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Sue E. Shellenberger of South Bend, Indiana, Scott R. (Cheryl) Shellenberger of Phoenix, Arizona, three grandchildren, Jenny (Trent) Roush, Scott R. Shellenberger, Jr., Christopher Shellenberger, and by two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Garrett Roush. Carl was preceded in death by a grandson, Eric Scott Shellenberger on June 19, 1995.
